Sector representatives from The Norwalk Partnership and Greenwich Together prevention coalitions met with Congressman Jim Himes Thursday morning at Norwalk Public Library to celebrate the award of the federal Drug-Free Communities grant. Five more years of funding will allow our coalitions to continue to grow and strengthen our youth & community!

Red Ribbon Week: Friendship Bracelets & Parent Awareness





For Red Ribbon Week, a national drug awareness program for elementary aged children and families, bring your child to Norwalk Public Library to make friendship bracelets and work on our prevention placemat. Meanwhile, parents can get information & tips on how to keep their kids safe from today's substances by visiting The Norwalk Partnership's resource table.

Girls' Beauty & Spa Day!


This event provides a day of relaxation for the girls of the Youth Business Initiative to promote self care. Services are provided through funding from Positive Directions and by businesses that have volunteered their services to show the importance of self love.

Our prevention coalition will meet on Wednesday, October 30th ONLINE from 3pm-4:30pm! This month hear about current work, get a refresher on marijuana facts, and start talking about our fall legislative forum. Join from the Zoom link below. Free Day of Training


Calling all those who work with youth! Mentors, coaches, youth ministers, tutors.... Registration is now open for the 3rd FREE Day of Training! This will be a half-day event teaching you a standard set of skills identified by the Social-Emotional Health (SEH) Initiative as responding to the needs of Norwalk youth. Learn suicide prevention, resilience, trauma-informed care, LGBTQ+ awareness, and more!

Courageous Parenting 101: Parenting Through the Opioid Crisis and Beyond -- EN ESPAÑOL

Managing Family Stress: Parenting Chat Topic # 1


In November, the Norwalk ACTS Social-Emotional Health Initiative leadership team is kicking off a monthly series of parent discussions. Each Parent Chat will focus on a different topic and will include a 45-minute panel discussion by local experts followed by a 45-minute Q&A discussion.

Free Overdose Awareness & Narcan Training!


Free training for Norwalk residents! Learn how to prevent overdoses, learn about safe storage & disposal options, get trained to administer Narcan and walk away with a Narcan kit and other resources. Supplies are limited -- RSVP now!
